Davisha Fredericks is Founder/CEO and empowerment Coach at SuSu, LLC. She is also a domestic violence survivor who fell silent for 15 years after being in a relationship chocked with physical, emotional, verbal, financial, and mental abuse for 10 years. Over a year ago, Davisha sought God to find how she can make an impact and empower women.

 

What Keeps Women in Domestically Violent Relationships

  • 1 in 4 women are victims of domestic violence
  • They have been isolated from family and friends by their abuser
  • You no longer think for yourself
  • You are fearful when you’re controlled by someone else
  • Lack of control, fear, financial reasons, and children often keep women in abusive relationships

 

Advice to Someone Currently in a Domestic Violence Situation

  • Dial 211 to get help
  • Ask yourself, “Am I really done?”
  • It often takes 10-12 times to be absolutely done
  • Have a safety plan

 

Advice to Someone Starting A New Business

  • Don’t worry about all the logistics
  • Know that successful people fail every day
  • Give it all that you’ve got
  • You have to develop a business mindset
  • Know your niche
